The Punch Card Clocking Machines are still very popular, despite being one of the oldest Clocking Machines around. These systems use a paper card for clocking or punching in and out.

These Clocking Systems/Machines are generally used in smaller companies, each employee is issued with his own paper clock card with his name on for punching in and out. Cards are issued at the beginning of the week and the employee can clock in and out for the week using the same card.

Once the week's punching is complete, the HR Manager will collect all the Cards to calculate the weeks hours worked. A new Clocking Card is issued for the new week as the cycle will continue.
